Here are some of my interests and hobbies.

Chip Carving: Intricate decorative wood
carving.Used to fancy up any wood piece. For informantion please visit Chipping Away by Dennis & Todd Moor.
Hiking: The best way to see nature is
to be in it. I have hiked throughout Nova Scotia. I have also hiked in New
Brunswick. Some pictures of my adventures are included in the Photo Album.
Knitting: Just recently I have taken up knitting.
Not only is it relaxing you get an amazing end producct that you made yourself.
An interesting place to get free patterns is Wool
Work Pattern.. Another option is to purchase your patterns. A great
on-line Bookstore is The Needle Arts Book Shoppe.
Kyudo: Kyudo, the Way of the Bow, is one of the oldest
arts in the Japanese tradition of contemplativwarriorship. From the precision of this
form, a natural process gradually unfolds through which the practitioner can see his or
her mind. The head teacher of this art is Kanjuro Shibata, Sensei XX, who holds the title
of Onyumishi in Japan as the twentieth generation bowmaker to the Emperor.
This position has been held by his family for the last 130 years. At the age of eight, he
began his training in both bowmaking and kyudo with his grandfather, the 19th Kanjuro
Shibata. In 1981, at the invitation of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Shibata Sensei visited
the United States to instruct students in kyudo, the ancient contemplative practice of Zen
archery. He is one of the foremast living kyudo masters of Japan. Here is a photo of
Shibata Sensei:
